Green Fins Membership
Rubelis OÜ is now an official Green Fins Digital Member.
Green Fins is the world's leading environmental standard for the diving and snorkelling industry, run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and The Reef-World Foundation. Its purpose is to guide dive operators and instructors toward genuinely protecting marine ecosystems — not through prohibition, but through real, lasting behavioural change.
Why this matters for Rubelis
Rubelis Beyond was built on a single premise: what makes a diver genuinely good is not completing a technical checklist — it is how they see the underwater world. Situational awareness — the ability to read every creature, every coral formation, every movement — sits at the centre of everything we teach.
Green Fins draws from exactly the same philosophy. Teaching a diver to memorise "don't touch the coral" is one thing; helping them genuinely understand why — to grasp the fragility of that ecosystem — is another. Green Fins aims for the second. So do we.
Every diver who goes through Rubelis Beyond carries that awareness long after their certification. This aligns precisely with what Green Fins is actually trying to achieve: not a consciousness that ends when the course does, but one that stays with the diver on every dive they ever make.

The Standards We Follow
Green Fins membership requires dive operators to adhere to a specific environmental code of conduct. The principles below align directly with the awareness we emphasise in Rubelis Beyond training, and we share them here as a requirement of our membership:

The education arm of our commitment
Our Green Fins membership comes with a concrete education commitment. Glove use and its real effect on reef contact, sunscreen chemistry and coral health, and how divers can contribute to citizen science monitoring — free, science-based, no login required.
